Out of Control? Florida is working hard to manage invasive plant species, especially the fast-spreading Earleaf Acacia. Join us on Friday, December 12th at noon for the Manatee Center’s Lunch & Learn, with Dr. Sara MacDonald, Urban Horticulture Agent for UF/IFAS Extension St. Lucie County. Dr. MacDonald will share findings from her doctoral research on invasive plants, work conducted before becoming an extension agent, highlighting why control is crucial and how public awareness plays a key role in protecting Florida’s native landscapes.
